Why The Invitation Is So Important
Glossy stocks and fancy picture invitations yell out to the consumer... "It's advertising material". Don't make that mistake. It is important that the invitations look and feel like invitations. Go to any stationery store and you'll find that all of their stocks are mostly linen. You also cannot do the total opposite... have you ever received a nice looking, maybe even important-looking, envelope thatwhen you opened it upcontained a plain white 8 1/2 x 11 piece of paper, made with a copier, where the text was uneven and it just looked bad? You forgot all about the nice envelope, and just pitched it all right in the garbage. Or, perhaps you've received a plain white or brown envelope that contained a beautiful color brochure inside that screams out "Advertising!" The point is that, for an invitation to work, the envelope and the letter must create attention and have the right components to get the desired response. It's an invitation, not an ad. We even personalize them with the prospect's name.
That's why our envelopes and letters/invitations are designed together, like real stationery. They keep you lookingand readingand makes a good impression. However, in the end, a good direct mail piece is 40% list, 40% your offer (products, services, door prizes, dinner) and 20% the artwork and "look" of the invitation. It's not one or two things that make a successful seminar mailing, it's a cumulative total that has been achieved through numerous mailings and seminars whose results are FACT - not opinion.
Call us and we'll give you the facts.
